They make a city a fun and relaxing place to live.  They provide the gathering places for our community to come together to play, read, perform community work, and relax.   I am disappointed the relationship with the North County Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) is not meeting our expectations.  The city’s proposed withdrawal from NCPRD and assumption of control over park operations may be on a future ballot.  If it does be sure to vote the entire ballot, these initiatives are often buried deep in the ballot.
